TURN ON THE PORCH LIGHTS - for SAFETY

A homeowners suggested that residents leave on their porch lights all night to give the neighborhood a safer feel.  If works best if you put a sensor on the light and it goes on automatically at dark

Is your house or property feeling tired?

Some things you can do that can really help:

1. Keep your lawn neatly mowed & trimmed

2. Water & fertilize your lawn & garden on a regular basis (as permitted)

3. Keep the yard & garden free of weeds, especially by fence & sidewalk areas.

4. Pick up blown trash on your property on a daily or weekly basis.

5. Bag up blown leaves as necessary.

6. Pick up and discard old newspapers.

7. Trim off all sucker trees & shrubs in your lawn & garden.

8. Trim trees branches so you can easily get the lawnmower under or stand under.

9. Trim back all trees/shrubbery that are encroaching on or over your sidewalks.

10. Clear auto grease off droveways.

11. Shovel up/ pick up landscape mulch & stones that might be on the sidewalk or in the gutter.

RED LIGHT CAMERA SYSTEM

The City of Aurora is going to install cameras at 4 intersections in the near future to take photos of drivers who run red lights and then send tickets fir $75.00 in the mail. The cameras will be installed at: E. Arapahoe Rd & S. Parker Rd, E. Alameda Ave & S. Abilene St, E. Iliff Ave & S. Havana St & E. Mississippi Ave & S. Potomac.

ANTI-FREEZE- is highly toxic and should only be disposed of through waste facilities - like lub stations - NOT DOWN THE STREET GUTTER!! Cunningham fire had to come out in May to "help" a homeowner clean up the spill!!!
